Surf Life Saving Central Coast (SLSCC) is proactive in ensuring the youth of our organisation remain engaged and supported whilst providing relevant and transitional pathway opportunities to further expand their knowledge and involvement within the organisation whilst also developing their personal growth.

SLSCC has identified the need to create an additional pathway opportunity specifically targeting the U15 youth members (14 years) who are too old for the 13-14 Youth Development and Rookie Programs and too young for the 15-17’s Youth Leadership Program. As a result, the SLSCC Board of Member Services have developed a new initiative to engage these members by developing and implementation of the GAP Year  Youth Engagement Program.

The main objectives of this program are to engage and support the development of U15 members, expand their understanding and awareness of SLS pathways and opportunities, and create encouraging and fun learning experiences.
