The Streets Patrol Competition is judged over 4 rounds by appointed patrol judges for outstanding effort and efficiency in all areas of surf patrols. Using the SLSNSW standard Patrol Audit Form all 15 surf clubs are judged over each round with scores being allocated on their performance in regards to beach management/ set-up, uniforms, gear and equipment and practical assessment.
Results of the audits are then used to determine a round winner with prizes awarded to each patrol member of the winning patrol. The round points are also accumulated towards an annual competition where the first three clubs in the overall patrol competition are recognised at the annual SLSCC Awards of Excellence evening with $7,500 in lifesaving equipment.
