This week 40 years ago women were finally able to gain their bronze medallion and take an active part in patrols. Female competition events followed soon after.

Women now take up 52% of the active membership across our 15 clubs on the Central Coast and hold over 30% of the leadership positions within our clubs.

To help celebrate the 40th anniversary of woman as active surf lifesavers, we are calling for stories, photos and videos of trailblazing women in the Surf Life Saving movement.

We will showcase their inspirational stories throughout the 2020/21 season and create an archive for future generations.
