Developing pathways for our Central Coast surf sport athletes.
Surf Sports was initially introduced as a means to attract and retain members within the movement. It not only promotes an active and healthy lifestyle but also fosters camaraderie among participants.
Today, Surf Sports hosts a variety of events throughout the year, spanning across the surf, beach, and pool. Surf events encompass disciplines such as surf swimming, board paddling, surf ski, Ironman, surf boat races, and Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) competitions. Beach events feature challenges like beach flags, beach sprints, and relays. Pool rescue events simulate both contact and non-contact rescue techniques.
Additionally, Surf Sports includes Lifesaving and first aid competitions designed to assess members’ skills and knowledge through simulated scenarios. These competitions include First Aid challenges, Patrol Competitions, and the Champion Lifesaver event.
