Surf Life Saving Central Coast (SLSCC) has delivered award winning Community Surf Education Program’s since 1999 when the organisation first implemented them as an additional service to the Central Coast community to help save lives.

Since then the program’s have grown to be an integral part of local primary schools annual activities, engaging well over 50,000 students from almost 60 primary schools per year.

The Community Surf Education Program has also evolved to offer members of the public vital surf education programs such as the Rip Awareness Demonstration Events.

The programs are run by fully qualified surf lifesavers who oversee the program and ensure the highest teaching and safety standards are maintained.

While impossible to measure, the program is certain to have saved many lives and will continue to save many more into the future by increasing the level of surf awareness within the community.
