Fortunity supporting Central Coast Clubs

Club Administrators, Finance Directors and Club Treasurers met at the SLSCC office last week to take part in the first of four Finance and Administration workshops to be run across the year.

Advisors from Fortunity presented during the workshop, covering tropics around preparing end of year accounts, auditing requirements and giving advice on what clubs did well and where there could be improvements in process.

Good governance is the central theme of the quarterly workshops and the aim is to provide clubs with guidance and information around running a not for profit organisation, legal compliance and best practice in financial management, member protection and club development.

The workshops are designed to assist administration at club level and topics will be relevant to the current reporting period. Areas covered will also include member registrations, recruitment, safeguarding children and young people, database management, insurance and marketing.

The workshops are primarily aimed at Club administration but are open to any club member involved in these areas.
