Nippers having fun at Umina SLSC

Nippers are back up and running at Central Coast beaches for the 2020/21 season.

After an uncertain winter, clubs across the coast have been working hard to provide a Junior program under the latest Covid guidelines.

“Our volunteers have had to do alot of planning and preparation for this season’s nipper program,” said Amy Fletcher SLSCC Director of Youth Activities. “Delivery of a covid safe program has been a top priority for all our clubs and has meant some changes in the scheduling at some beaches.”

“It’s great to see the young kids back on the beach, having fun and developing their skills as lifesavers.” said Amy.

“SLSCC have provided training workshops and hosted a virtual Junior Activites conference for all Junior Co-ordinators in preperation for the season ahead.”

“The conference was very well received and our club Junior teams are excited to deliver a fantastic program this summer and welcome our nippers back to the beach.”

Some clubs are still taking registratrions for nippers for this season. For more information, head to our website and select your nearest club Click here
