The Rescue of the Month aims to recognise excellence in lifesaving and service delivery, measured against industry best practice and operating procedures.

Lifesavers provide an invaluable service on beaches and in communities throughout the Central Coast. Many exceptional rescues and first aids are performed showcasing excellence in lifesaving skills that often go unrecognised. Each month SLSCC recognises the outstanding rescues performed with one of these rescues being announced as the SLSCC Rescue of the Month.

Monthly winners become finalists for the SLSNSW Rescue of the Year which is awarded as part of the annual Awards of Excellence event.
