Long term partners of Surf Life Saving Central Coast, Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) have committed to a further two years to deliver vital Surf Safety Messaging and be the exclusive radio partner of Surf Life Saving on the Central Coast.
Southern Cross Austereo is the parent company of Central Coast radio brands Hit101.3 and TripleM. Across the two brands they reach the entire Central Coast community providing radio entertainment and news to the residents and visitors of the Central Coast. Hit and TripleM are also very involved in the community on the Central Coast with regular activations and engagement with Central Coast community events and promoting the amazing things “Coasties” do on the Central Coast.
This partnership offers Surf Life Saving Central Coast the ability to promote and create awareness of beach and surf safety messaging . The Central Coast has 15 surf clubs who are actively patrolling beach between October and April each season and continue to have zero lives lost in between the red and yellow flags. Despite this the Central Coast continues to have multiple preventable drownings within 5km of a patrolled location or outside patrolling hours.
Throughout the next two years Surf Life Saving Central Coast will be working closely with Southern Cross Austereo to deliver surf safety messaging across the radio waves of the Central Coast to educate the Central Coast community and visitors of how to stay safe around our coastline.
